Joined the South African Air Force in January 1964, Started apprentice training and qualified in the SAAF. Worked on several South African Air Force aircraft – Harvard, Dakota (DC3), Skymaster (DC4), Mirage interceptor, De Havilland Vampire, Cessna 100, 400 series aircraft and Fairchild Metroliners SA226. Qualified in the SAAF as a Flight Engineer, flying (DC 4) Skymaster aircraft until 1985. Joined Field Aviation Services in 1968, Rand Airport, working on DC 3 and DC 4 aircraft, heavy maintenance servicing. Joined Atlas Aircraft Corporation in 1972, working on major servicing, Mirage jets, DC 3 and DC 4 aircraft. Holding a valid pilot license since 1970.
I started Prinsdale Engineering 1993 at Lanseria Airport, obtaining South African Civil Aviation licensing in 1995. Rebuilding and restoration of several Cessna 100, 200, 300 and 400 series aircraft. Piper single engine aircraft and servicing aircraft for private aircraft owners.
